“This is a story of how a Baggins had an adventure, and found himself doing and saying things altogether unexpected.”

Tolkien, J. R. The hobbit, or, There and back again.

In Tolkein’s adventure story, The Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins discovers the world beyond his door is an exciting, sometimes treacherous, and altogether unexpected place. This blog documents my journey, not dissimilar to Bilbo’s, in the pursuit of a deeper understanding of inquiry learning and information literacy.  My footsteps will tread a critical path through theoretical and practical elements of inquiry pedagogy and contemporary information-learning models.  Like Bilbo, I find myself discovering the unexpected as I engage with information environments that are familiar, and not so familiar.  I hope you will step out onto the road with me.
